Creation idea
This is a dream home project for a family with small child who are true fans of the creative work of Frank Lloyd Wright (architect, designer, founder of so called organic architecture). The area is 380 sq. m., Ukraine.
Design
Designers put a lot of effort into creating an unique project in the style of the brilliant architect, while citing Oriental traditions through the prism of Western perception. The two-story structure with semi-basement is made of wood and stone.
Ground floor
The ground floor is occupied by main premises: spacious living room with a fireplace, which smoothly flows into the kitchen with a large dining area, two master bedrooms with dressing rooms and bathrooms, and the master's study.
Study
Here, we see uncluttered design of classic-style study. Boiserie, built-in and free-standing furniture are made of natural wood additionally decorated with inlay and light gold leaf.
Bathrooms
Wright's interiors are historic innovation. Frequent design decision is the simplest single-tone cabinets in a color different from the walls’ one. Every detail aims to create a sense of integrity out of many angular segments, as it is in this guest bathroom.
The furniture is simple, regular-shaped, with neat fittings. You can immediately notice the space integrity of rooms with furniture where horizontal lines prevail over vertical ones.
Second floor
The second floor was given over to the children's room developed with special trepidation, as well as to a dressing room with a bathroom and a gym.
The semi-basement floor houses not only technical rooms, but also a general recreation area in the form of movie hall.
Interior design concept
Many areas of the house have access to terraces. The house turned out to be very cozy, uncluttered, without unnecessary pretentious details and complex elements. Despite the fact that the interior looks quite simple in this style, in fact, it is not. High-quality natural materials were selected for it, making it one of the most respectable ones.
The main material in the interior decoration is natural wood, from which all furniture, stairs, wall panels and even ceilings are made. There is wooden modular parquetry on the floor, individually matched to each room. Every detail in the house interior, starting from joinery and ending with lighting fixtures, was created according to individual sketches of our designers. Thanks to that, it was possible to achieve absolute consistency of all elements.
