- Happy combinations. Now, it is very on-trend to combine modern, hi-tech kitchen appliances with antique-style furniture in retro style. It is enough to have one bright emphasis like this, so that the kitchen design get its own zest;
- Light colors. Light shades in finishing and furniture will contribute to the visual expansion of the space. Such a kitchen will feel much more free and comfortable than a room in dark colors.
Proper lighting of a modern kitchen
Earlier, traditional chandelier in the center of the room was the only lighting fixture. However, this solution does not fit in most modern kitchen designs at all. Functional illumination is made up of spotlights and directional lamps creating a uniform bright light along the perimeter of the kitchen.
Fashionable modern trend is to make LED lighting in the working area of the kitchen. In that way, you provide not only additional lighting, but also bring an original detail into the kitchen, which will simultaneously become an element of decor. However, if your kitchen is small, don’t be too zealous about illumination. A few spotlights along the perimeter will be enough for sufficiently bright light.
